A hospital system knows a visit. A paediatric clinic knows a vaccination. Nobody holds the ten years of context between them: the growth curve, the medication that did not agree, the question that was never asked because the appointment ran short.
A living family health record lives inside the same timeline as everything else, for the mother and for each child, in the family's own hands. Exportable, deletable, never sold, shared with a clinician only when she chooses.
