Why there is no account

Guest-first is a design decision, not a missing feature. What it makes possible, and the one thing that still needs a sign-in.

Most apps start with a form. Email, password, a consent screen nobody reads. Mommy Refuel starts with a question, because the person opening it at 3 a.m. does not have a form in her.

What guest mode means

Everything in Refuel works without an account. Check-ins, the score, focus, recovery, journal, history and the weekly report are stored on the phone. There is no server that knows she exists.

The one exception

Live Refuel AI needs a server to generate a reply, and a server needs to know that the request is allowed. That is the one feature behind Sign in with Apple. A private relay email is fine. We receive only what Apple passes along.

Sync is opt-in

If she signs in, she can turn on cloud sync to keep a second device in step. It is off until she turns it on, and it can be turned off again. Delete removes the cloud copy as well.

Trust is easier to keep when you never asked for more than you needed.
